According to Deadline it looks like Chloe Moretz is currently in talks to join Charlize Theron in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s DARK PLACES. Moretz is a fantastic young actress who’s been in a lot of successful films so far in her young career — she’s also no stranger to the horror genre which is a big plus around these parts.

Theron will play Libby Day, a woman who, at seven-years old, survived the brutal massacre of her family and testified against her brother as the murderer. Twenty-five years later, the Kill Club, a secret-society obsessed with solving notorious crimes, bring her to question and confront the truth of what took place that day.

DARK PLACES will be written and directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner with Moretz playing the character of Diondra.
