Today we got a full list of members to be joining Michael Biehn, Jennifer Blanc and Electra Avelan in the cast for Patricio Valladares’ English-language remake of the Chilean horror film HIDDEN IN THE WOODS.

The complete cast looks like this, Michael Biehn, Jeannine Kaspar, Electra Avelan, Mark Burnham, Jennifer Blanc, Richard Gunn, Caitlin Keats, Matthew Alan, Mark Gantt, Cheryl Hawker, Greg Ingram, Evie Louise Thompson, Grace Powell, Larry Carroll, Nick Nicholson, Jeremy JD Norton, Rebecca Torellas, Nick Bateman, Cody Hackman, and Luke Massy.

The film focuses on Ana and Anny, two sisters whom have been raised in isolation under the atrocity of drug dealing and the incestuous obsession of their grim father. When they, tired of the abuse, call the police, he kills two officers and is put in jail. Free from their father, the girls now will have to escape from Tío Costello, the local drug lord trying to recover a large amount of drugs hidden in the woods.

The film is scheduled to be shot in early June in Texas. Valladares’ HIDDEN IN THE WOODS has the recipe to a pretty gnarly flick and certainly one to keep a close eye on for its release. Remakes generally get a bad reputation and fans tend to write them off pretty quickly and look how the EVIL DEAD remake turned out, so definitely give this one a chance as it is backed by a very good cast and sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun.
