Bear with this explanation folks. On this awfully slow news Friday, I dove headlong into the Film Catalogue in search from some new genre joints to write about. In so doing, I stumbled upon a flick called THE NIGHT CREW, which sounded familiar. Turns out we wrote about this shite back in February of 2011. When rereading said article, I got a laugh out of a Twitter update writer/director Christian Sesma hit us back with: “Man that’s not even official…(Christian) Slater not even in it.”

Okay, so f*ck THE NIGHT CREW. Instead, I went to Sesma’s IMDB page and was pleased to find that a new flick of his, a sci-fi thriller called LOST TIME, had been updated only one week ago. Currently filming, I was even more pleased to learn genre vets Derek Mears (seen right), Lin Shaye and Luke Goss are among the principal cast. Good enough to hear more?

Written by Sesma as well – LOST TIME picks up when:

After leaving a doctor visit with the worst news, Valerie Dreyfuss and her sister Melissa come to a stop on a lonely stretch of road. Their car is engulfed by a blinding light….12 hours later Valerie wakes to the horror that her sister is gone, nowhere to be found.

Sounds like an alien abduction yarn, no? Could be cool, especially given the cast, which also lists Robert Davi, Maria Olsen, Jenni Blong, Chelsea Ricketts (below) and Vyto Ruginis among others.

So until Sesma lambastes this article as well, keep your lids peeled for more LOST TIME as it plows through production.
