Here’s something to be thankful for: the trailer for DARK SKIES, which comes from director Scott Stewart (LEGION) and producer Jason Blum (INSIDIOUS, SINISTER). The alien abduction thriller stars Keri Russell, Josh Hamilton, Dakota Goyo and J.K. Simmons.
The trailer provides a familiar batch of horror movie images: birds flying into windows unexpectedly; people standing with their mouth agape; objects doing things on their own accord. Honestly, some of it is a little unintentionally funny, but we’ll wait and see the movie before we provide judgment.
DARK SKIES is a supernatural thriller that follows a young family living in the suburbs. As husband and wife Daniel and Lacey Barret witness an escalating series of disturbing events involving their family, their safe and peaceful home quickly unravels. When it becomes clear that the Barret family is being targeted by an unimaginably terrifying and deadly force, Daniel and Lacey take matters in their own hands to solve the mystery of what is after their family.
DARK SKIES opens on February 22nd.
