In May of 2011, we told you about MINDSCAPE, a psychological thriller from producer Jaume Collet-Serra, best known as the helmer of UNKNOWN and ORPHAN. There has been a bit of a lull in terms of news on this project since, but today we’ve got a nice casting update.

Mark Strong (SHERLOCK HOLMES), Taissa Farmiga (“American Horror Story”) and Brian Cox (RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES) have all signed on to MINDSCAPE, which starts principal photography today. Commercials director Jorge Dorado is making his feature debut on the flick, penned by Guy Holmes.

The story centers on a man who can enter peoples’ memories and who takes on the case of a brilliant, troubled and dangerous teenage girl to determine whether she is a sociopath or a trauma victim.

This is the debut film from Collet-Serra and his partner Juan Sola’s Ombra Films, a production company focused on low-budget English-language horror flicks. Filming will take place in Barcelona, France and Canada.
