Vanishing Waves

Another year, another Fantastic Fest in the bag. (And another year of me being pissed off that I wasn’t there.) In the past we’ve gotten some really quality flicks thanks to the Austin-based festival, so what movies were the big stand-outs this year? Read on for the list of winners!

DRAWN AND QUARTERED: ANIMATED SHORTS
Winner: Bendito Machine IV – (Jossie Malis, Spain)

Well, clearly HERE COMES THE DEVIL and VANISHING WAVES are the pictures to see; DEVIL recently got picked up for distribution by Magnet Releasing, but no word yet on when WAVES will make itself available to the public. I’d like to throw out a special “Congrats” message to the AMERICAN SCREAM team; just saw the movie and thoroughly enjoyed it.
