Alfred Hitchcock is a genius. There’s no denying that. The man is a legend in the film industry whose films still hold up strong. So tell me there’s a flick on the way based on Hitch’s behind the scenes obsession with starlet Tippi Hedren and I’m immediately sold. I’m of course talking about the HBO feature THE GIRL.
Earlier this month we got a look at a bunch of new stills from Julian Jarrold’s mockumentary and now here I am with the highly anticipated teaser trailer for the flick! Alfred Hitchcock was at the height of his fame and creativity when, in 1962, he chose an unknown fashion model to star in his most ambitious film – The Birds. But as he sculpted Tippi Hedren into the perfect Hitchcock blonde of his imagination, he became obsessed with the impossible dream of winning the real woman’s love. His failure arguably destroyed both of their careers.
