I can’t help but feel NBC’s upcoming “Hannibal” series is some sort of big deal. I mean the minds behind the thing already have a seven season arc planned out! That’s pretty ambitious… And the way this casting is going every little piece of the puzzle is making news. We may actually be in for something pretty damned good! Here’s hoping, right?
Well that casting I mentioned keeps right on rolling today with The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog dropping the word that Hettienne Park is the latest name to join the project. Park will be playing ‘Beverly Katz,’ a bright-eyed yet weary crime scene investigator who specializes in working with fibers. She’s part of a team of three who piece evidence together. When she first encounters Will (Hugh Dancy), she confronts the criminal profiler about his unusual role with the FBI and flags the special treatment he receives. While the duo initially clashes, their relationship could potentially become a romantic one. Works for me!
The project is described as a contemporary thriller series featuring the classic characters from Thomas Harris’ novel Red Dragon – FBI agent Will Graham and his mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter – who are re-introduced at the beginning of their budding relationship.
Along with Park (below) and Dancy the highly anticipated series will also star Laurence Fishburne, Lara Jean Chorostecki, Mads Mikkelsen, Caroline Dhavernas and Aaron Abrams. I’d tell you we’ll be sure to bring you any other little update that comes our way regarding “Hanniabl”…. but that should go without saying.
