Now I’m going to be straight with you guys. This new project I’m about to tell you about is described as a ‘sci-fi romancer.’ Obviously that doesn’t sit very well for me, considering I’d be more interested in a vicious sci-fi thriller… But alas we’re stuck with a ‘romancer.’ Now mind you this doesn’t really mean the movie is going to be a chick-flick or anything. So we’ll hold out judgement until we see a little more.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The project in question is something called WITHOUT WARD and is coming at us from director Cory Cataldo, who also wrote the script. According to Variety WITHOUT WARD already has a pretty stacked cast as well which includes Michael Gladis, Martin Landau, Harold Perrineau, Alexis Dziena, James Duval and Marguerite Moreau. Gladis (above) will topline the sci-fi actionier, which reads:
Story takes place with the world under one form of government in which lawyers with guns police the world and enforce people’s personal contracts. Pic follows a dysfunctional family being forced into a never-ending life of house arrest.
So as you can see there’s definitely some potential with this one. The only other details we’re given is that Cataldo will also be producing WITHOUT WARD alongside Mike Klassen, Sean Roldan, Laura Holloway, Jennifer Beaton and Lisa Gallant. Production on the film is expected to wrap shortly.
