Remember that long-awaited WORLD OF WARCRAFT flick Sam Raimi was supposed to be directing? Yeah that shite was like three years ago. And only now are we finally getting an update on this little diddy!

Unfortunately the update isn’t a very promising one. You see the guys over at CraveOnline were wondering what the deal was with this WARCRAFT flick so at Comic-Con they approached Sam Raimi and asked him forthright. Here’s the director’s response:

“Actually, they don’t have me directing World of Warcraft anymore because when I took the Oz job, they had to move on to another director. They had to start making it.”

Now that’s pretty interesting considering we haven’t heard zilch concerning a new director on the project but hey, this is from Sam Raimi himself so I’d say it’s pretty legit.

What do you guys think? Are you glad Sam Raimi is off this project? Do you even care about it? Spit some bullets below and let us know as we wait for more WORLD OF WARCRAFT updates to roll our way.
