The Frankenstein legend is getting a drastic make-over in Richard Raaphorst’s FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY, a WWII flick that blends the Mary Shelley tale with, but of course, Nazis! The flick is currently in post-production and stars Karel Roden as good ol Vik Frankenstein.

Today Raaphorst himself released a new piece of promo propaganda art, which you can see in full below. If you’re wondering who exactly you’re looking at, I direct you to Raaphorst’s accompanying text: “I’m happy to finally reveal FA’s “Propaganda Art” poster! Meet The Crypt Monster, Mosquito, Protobot, and Viktor!”

Keep an eye on Raaphorst’s Twitter account, as he’ll likely be unveiling more promo art in the future.

As for the film’s plot, here goes:

FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY takes place toward the end of World War II, as Russian soldiers push into eastern Germany and stumble across a secret Nazi lab, one that has unearthed and begun experimenting with the journal of one Dr. Viktor Frankenstein. The scientists have used the legendary Frankenstein’s work to assemble an army of super-soldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades – a desperate Hitler’s last ghastly ploy to escape defeat.

The film is a co-production of MPI/Dark Sky Films, Los Angeles-based XYZ Films, and Pellicola of Amsterdam.
