The Cabin in the Woods arrives on DVD/Blu-ray this September

You can definitely count me among the many who went wild for THE CABIN IN THE WOODS when it came out in April (read my review HERE; the Arrow’s review HERE). A flick made for horror buffs like myself, it continually jerked me around, made me jump, defied my expectations and left me grinning like the goddamn Cheshire Cat. I don’t think people who aren’t in love with the genre really “got” it, although that may be a generalization on my end. That said, I already consider it a modern classic, a movie that will become a staple for years to come. (Certainly it’ll be an October fixture in my household.)

If you missed it in the theater, or are just plain old pumped to experience it again, the Drew Goddard/Joss Whedon collaboration is headed to DVD and Blu-ray on SEPTEMBER 18th – only a week or so before visions of Halloween begin dancing in our heads.

We don’t have the intel on special features yet, but let’s hope it’s packed; a commentary from Whedon and Goddard is a must, at the very least. We’ll pass along more details as they come in.
