So personally I don’t see much sense in this next announcement other than Fox just trying to make a few bucks. But hey, it’s happening so what can you do?

What am I getting at? Well according to Variety Fox are planning on dropping Roland Emmerich’s INDEPENDENCE DAY back into theaters next Summer… only this time it will be in 3D! I kid you not people.

So when exactly will you get to see Will Smith and Eric Walkus… I mean Bill Pullman in three dimensions? July 3, 2013. Just in time for the Fourth of July!

The aliens are coming and their goal is to invade and destroy. Fighting superior technology, Man’s best weapon is the will to survive.

Along with Smith and Pullman, the some-what classic sci-fi romp also stars Jeff Goldblum, Mary McDonnell, Judd Hirsch, Randy Quaid and Vivica A. Fox (below). Mark it on your calenders folks – INDEPENDENCE DAY in 3D on July 3, 2013!
