Word coming in from Deadline London is dropping the news that Sony Pictures Television’s AXN networks will be broadcasting “Hannibal” in 18 different languages, spanning across 63 countries! That’s pretty intense, no? Especially for a show that hasn’t even aired yet!
The project is described as a contemporary thriller series featuring the classic characters from Thomas Harris’ novel Red Dragon – FBI agent Will Graham and his mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter – who are re-introduced at the beginning of their budding relationship.
Hugh Dancy will be starring as ‘Will Graham’ with David Slate set to direct the pilot for this shite. “Hannibal” is set to start filming in late July on it’s 13-episode first season.
