Truth be told I’m not sure if this next project is very AITH-worthy but I figure ‘Atilla the Hun’ is one of the most violent men to ever walk this Earth so an origins story about the legendary leader may be right down our alley!
You see Deadline New York just dropped the word that Warner Bros. have snatched up a pitch from scribe Nicholas Schoenfeld that would tell the origins story of the iconic leader. Titled ATILLA, the film will take a look at the formative years of one of the worst men ever to walk the earth in an origin story about the leader of the Huns who brazenly attacked Rome and lay waste to much of Europe before dying under mysterious circumstances on his wedding night.
The tone of the film is said to be similar to the good-man-gone-bad flick DRACULA YEAR ZERO, which was penned by Schoenfeld’s mentors Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. Works for me!
I don’t know about the rest of you but I personally think ‘Atilla the Hun’ is one badass mofo and I wouldn’t mind seeing a violent flick about him one bit. Of course we’ll keep an eye on this one to see if it’s actually worth our time here at AITH and if it’s deemed fit we’ll be keeping you updated with everything that comes our way regarding ATILLA.
