Latest Battleship trailer is undeniably epic, still looks like Transformers 4

I won’t lie; I’ve been anti-BATTLESHIP for a bit now. Its transparent thievery of TRANSFORMERS – from the visual effects to the sound effects to practically some of the same damn shots – irks me greatly. It appears to be the quintessential example of Hollywood’s lack of imagination (as if we needed more proof).

That said… part of my soul still belongs to the kid who used to play with toy robots and make crashing sounds and dream of epic alien invasions… and that part of me can’t deny that the latest BATTLESHIP trailer brings some beautiful imagery to the table. Millions of dollars worth of destruction has never looked so good. I won’t back off my charge that this movie is still reeks of being a soulless product, but my goodness… some of this is very damn cool. Watch it below.
