Those of you who were looking forward to seeing Joseph Kahn’s cheeky horror-comedy DETENTION on APRIL 6th are going to be shit out of luck… for one week, anyway. The flick has bumped back a little in order to fit firmly in the APRIL 13th slot. Not too long of a wait for a picture that received surprisingly good reviews out of Fantasia Fest last year (read ours HERE). The director of TORQUE made something worth watching… the shock still hasn’t subsided.

In addition to that news, a new clip from the film has just reached MTV; though you can peep it via the embedded video below. The tone it’s obviously going for is a tricky one to achieve, but I’ll admit I laughed after at least one line.

Finally, the film’s official site has opened; among other things, it tells you what cities will be getting the movie on 4/13. I’m sure we can expect more towns to follow.

DETENTION stars Josh Hutcherson, Shanley Caswell, Spencer Locke, Aaron David Johnson, and Dane Cook. The synopsis: A downtrodden 17-year-old girl is sent to detention where she must survive a slasher film killer and save the world in time for prom.
