As we told you near the beginning of January, Kevin Williamson and Warner Bros. Television are preparing a new series for Fox that deals with a cult of serial killers – music to many of your ears, no doubt. (Who wouldn’t want to see a show like that?) Now the project has gotten even juicier; as The Hollywood Reporter has it, none other than Kevin Bacon has landed the lead role of this still-untitled show.

Here’s the way Williamson’s series was initially described: An edge-of-the-seat thriller about a diabolical serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers, and the FBI agent who finds himself in the middle of it.

Bacon would be playing the FBI agent at the center of the horror; a damn good “get” for Williamson and company, wouldn’t you agree?

Apparently, Bacon’s deal is for 15 episodes instead of the traditional 22 (c’mon, he’s Kevin Bacon), although that’s not set in stone, and of course it’s all dependent on the show getting picked up by Fox. That said, if it’s good enough for Bacon, it should be good enough for the rest of us.

We’ll let you know when this enticing series comes together further.
