We now know who will be giving you SIDE EFFECTS.

Steven Soderbergh’s potboiler, starring Blake Lively, Jude Law and Channing Tatum, is headed toward a spring start date and will eventually be distributed by Open Road Films. The thriller, which is in the same sexy vein as FATAL ATTRACTION and JAGGED EDGE, has a budget in the $30 million range.

Open Road is a burgeoning distributor which has THE GREY and SILENT HOUSE on tap this year; they’ll also release Andrew Niccol’s adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s THE HOST in 2013. Their first release was 2011’s KILLER ELITE.

In SIDE EFFECTS, Lively plays a troubled and depressed woman who is taking serious amounts of prescription drugs, which leads her into a relationship with a doctor (Law). Her intake is ostensibly designed to help her deal with the anxiety surrounding the pending release of her husband (Tatum) from prison.

Once we find out when Open Road will unleash SIDE EFFECTS, we’ll let you know!
