The fact that Takashi Shimizu’s 7500 has been in production for a couple of weeks now won’t stop it from continuing its casting blitz. Variety reports that Johnathon Schaech has climbed aboard the airborne horror flick; he’ll be playing the pilot of the plane where all the madness goes down. Incidentally, Variety notes that filming is almost finished on the movie, which is being produced by CBS Films.
Schaech is no stranger to horror, having appeared in both LAID TO REST films, QUARANTINE and PROM NIGHT, in which he played the villain. He also starred in episodes of “Masters of Horror” and “Fear Itself”. (As it happens, he penned those episodes as well.)
Schaech joins Leslie Bibb, Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Jerry Ferrara, Jamie Chung, Scout Taylor Compton, Nicky Whelan, Aja Evans, Rick Kelly, Alex Frost and Christian Serratos. It’s a packed flight, to be sure.
Coming out in August of 2012, 7500 goes like this: After a passenger mysteriously dies on Flight 7500, those remaining on board begin experiencing frightening supernatural phenomena and are left to wonder if they’re next.
