Well here we are folks, another day and some more rather uneventful EVIL DEAD news. Now whether we want it or not, this EVIL DEAD remake is at the top of the upcoming genre flicks list so we’ll be bringing you every inkling of an update on this thing that comes our way…. Just in case you haven’t caught that by now.
And today is no different! You see the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting are reporting that director Fede Alvarez and company will start lensing this sumb*tch next March in New Zealand. Now I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume that by ‘next March’ they mean this upcoming March… Or at least I hope that’s the case! Another year of reporting about this thing? Yikes!
So we’ll go ahead and run with the ‘this March’ for now instead, which means we’ve only got a few months before THE EVIL DEAD gets underway! According to BD the flick is already casting for the roles of the five unlucky friends: David, Natalie, Mia, Olivia and Eric. ‘David is a mechanic and is engaged to Natalie. Mia is the friend who is heading to the cabin to detox; Olivia is her best friend/nurse.’
The story centers on five friends holed up at a remote cabin where they discover a Book of the Dead with a demonic force unleashed possessing each until only one is left to fight for survival.
I suppose at this point we should just strap ourselves in an enjoy the ride, right?
