What kind of Halloween would this be if we didn’t mention Peter Cushing and/or Christopher Lee at least once?
Back in June we received the good word that Eugenio Martin’s monster-on-a-train thriller HORROR EXPRESS – starring Cushing, Lee and Telly Savalas (!) – was set to make an auspicious debut on Blu-ray in September. Obviously that month is in the rear-view and we still haven’t seen the Blu for this bloodsucker yet. Fear not, friends, for it was not forgotten! The thriller now has a NOVEMBER 29th release date, and it will be released as a Blu-Ray/DVD 2-disc combo pack.
Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing star as rival turn-of-the-century anthropologists transporting a frozen ‘missing link’ aboard the Trans-Siberian Express. But when the prehistoric creature thaws and escapes, it unleashes a brain-scarfing spree that turns its victims into the eye-bleeding undead. Can the crafty colleagues stop this two million year old monster, hordes of zombie passengers and a psychotic Cossack officer (Telly Savalas) before terror goes off the rails?
If that doesn’t sound like the best movie ever, I don’t know what does. (Okay, I’ve seen this flick, and it’s not the best movie ever, but you have to admit that the synopsis is still all kinds of amazing.)
