The CW, which already has shows like “Vampire Diaries”, “Supernatural” and “The Secret Circle” on their network, isn’t going to stray from the genre game any time soon; the channel has just picked up “Dare” from SHERLOCK HOLMES producer Dan Lin.

“Dare” revolves around a group of five twentysomethings who are forced to play a deadly game of Truth or Dare while trying to discover who is behind the game and how to stop it.

Not exactly sure if that set-up can sustain an entire series, but anything can be made engaging if it’s done well enough..

Bert V. Royal, the screenwriter of 2010’s sleeper Emma Stone hit EASY A, will write the script for “Dare”. No start date has been announced.
