Might Halle Berry team up with Joel Schumacher for The Hive?

Joel Schumacher’s latest film, TRESPASS, is opening next week with hardly any fanfare – despite the fact that it stars Oscar-winners Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman. Not a good sign for the flick. However, Schumacher isn’t about to let it get him down, as he’s apparently close to working with another Academy Award recipient: Halle Berry.

The project the two might collaborate on is THE HIVE, a thiller which we wrote about back in April. In a conversation with ComingSoon.net, Schumacher says that he wants Berry to do it, Berry wants to do it, and the producers want her to do it… But nothing has been signed yet. Still, it’s looking good, and the current plan is to shoot in February.

Here’s a refresher on what THE HIVE is about: A female emergency line operator who, in trying to help a young girl, comes up against a killer from her own past.

We’ll keep an eye on this and see if it moves forward…
