Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way, Graham King’s GK Films (THE DEPARTED) and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY producer Steven Schneider are teaming up to produce the psychological thriller HOME, according to Variety. That’s some heavy firepower right there! And it gets heavier…

The script for HOME was written by LAST HOUSE OF THE LEFT scribe Adam Alleca, while that film’s helmer, Dennis Illiadis (pictued above), will direct.

HOME follows an unstable young man staying at his recently deceased father’s house. As odd phenomena begin to occur, he struggles to determine whether he’s having a nervous breakdown or his father is haunting him.

The project was originally optioned in 2005 by Wes Craven through his and Marianne Maddalena’s Craven/Maddalena Films banner. Craven, of course, then went on to produce theLAST HOUSE OF THE LEFT remake for Alleca and Illiadis.

No word on when the project will get underway; casting has to go down first, naturally. Since this has so many intriguing names attached, we’ll be keeping a sharp eye on this sucker.
