Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays a deadly, hiss-worthy villain on HBO’s tremendous “Game of Thrones”, but it looks like his next role will see him being a bit more sympathetic; said role will be in the Guillermo del Toro-produced MAMA, which has already taken in actress Jessica Chastain.

MAMA is based on a short film of the same name by Andres Muschietti, whose persuasive three minute effort caught the eye of del Toro. Muschietti is directing an co-wrote the script for the feature, which begins shooting this October in Toronto.

The movie tells the story of a couple – Chastain and Coster-Waldau – who take in their long-lost young nieces and nephews. The kids were found after living in the forest for five years but now murderous events begin to unfold and it becomes clear that a supernatural force is intent on claiming the kids.

Check out the short below for a sneak peek of the creepy goings-on. We’ll keep you updated when we get more news – specifically, who will be playing the two troubled tykes at the center of the supernatural commotion.
