The lords of the MPAA, in all of their infinite wisdom, hath bequeathed two new films with ratings: APOLLO 18, a.k.a. “THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT in Outer Space” and THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET, a.k.a. “PSYCHO for Kids!”
APOLLO 18, which is finally being released by Dimension next week after about 803 different release dates, has been given a PG-13 for “disturbing images and language.” Maybe they’re referring to Harvey Weinstein’s office.
Meanwhile, Relativity’s THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, Max Theriot and Elizabeth Shue, is also sporting a PG-13, for “intense sequences of violence and terror, thematic elements, language, some teen partying and brief drug material.” Holy shit, some teen partying?! This I gotta see! It comes out on APRIL 20, 2012.
