Damn, is there anything this Cranston fella can’t do?!?
Hot off a two-time Emmy award winning turn as cable’s most awesome character, “Breaking Bad’s” Walter White – Cranston is flat out owning shite right now. In addition to his hit show, Cranston has a spate of high-profile film projects currently in the works…including Len Wiseman’s TOTAL RECALL, Marc Forster’s WORLD WAR Z and Andrew Stanton’s ARGO…among many others.
And now it seems Bryan is getting back into the writing/directing game.
According to Hollywood.com, Cranston is developing a murder mystery script he’s adapting from David Wiltse’s “Home Again” novel. With plans to direct himself, here’s how the thespian describes the project:
“It’s basically a very strong father-son story, and a murder-mystery. An FBI agent who suddenly quits the department and takes his son and his wife and moves back to his hometown of Cascade, Nebraska, to rekindle family values and pay attention now. He’s been working for the FBI for years, so he’s been home sporadically. And his son is now sixteen, very sensitive, and looks upon his father like sort of a stranger… And then there’s a murder that happens in the little town that they move to, which kills [the father’s] whole stance on, ‘Things are better in these small towns!’ And then things unravel, and basically, the father and son come together at the end and save each other emotionally and literally.”
Sounds solid, right? Perhaps not 100% AITH appropriate…but if you’re anything like me, you need nary extra incentive to see ANY murder mystery. Damn I love whodunits!
