INSIDE PASSAGE is a script that was purchased back in 2008 by Gold Circle Films, a thriller in the vein of DEAD CALM and BREAKDOWN written by Jonathan W.C. Mills. TAKE SHELTER director Jeff Nichols was briefly attached to the thing, but obviously nothing got rolling on the project, and it ended up dead in the water, so to speak.
But, as you just never can say die in this business, the thing still has life in it, as Variety reports that writer Ed Gass-Donnelly has been given the task of rewriting the screenplay. Gold Circle Films is still on board to produce the film, although no director has been hired yet.
INSIDE PASSAGE centers on a young couple whose honeymoon aboard a luxury yacht is turned upside down when they come across a murder at sea.
Gass-Donnelly recently made some waves with his second directorial effort, SMALL TOWN MURDER SONGS, which stars Peter Stormare as a small town sheriff with dark secrets.
