Back in May we found out some potential filming locations for Marc Forster’s upcoming undead epic WORLD WAR Z; at the time we were hearing that Malta and the UK were being eyed for the production, which is scheduled to begin shooting later this month. Now we know at least one locale in the UK where the film will shed some blood.

According to the UK’s Daily Record, filming on WORLD WAR Z will go down in Glasgow, Scotland this August. Evidently, scenes being shot in the city center will feature “explosions and gunfire”, as well as, you’d assume, a massive amount of staggering zombies.

The site reveals that Glasgow will double for the US city of Philadelphia, with false shop fronts being constructed and American cars on the roads. George Square (pictured above) will apparently be the production’s homebase.

Brad Pitt stars in the film, as well as produces. Mireille Enos, Anthony Mackie and James Badge Dale are in the cast as well. Expect plenty more updates on this horror tale in the near future.

Wonder if Angelina will be joining Brad…
