Now here’s some cool shite!

No doubt trying to capitalize on the cache the “Dead Island” trailer received, a very cool grindhouse style trailer for “Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation–Call of the Dead” has been fashioned. We’ve got that shite below, simply scroll it and hit play on that sucker to scope it out!

Said to be inspired by George A. Romero’s horror oeuvre, the trailer also boasts the indelible song seen in Dan O’Bannon’s RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. After a quick search, I’ve learned the song is aptly titled “Partytime,” performed by 45 Grave. Perhaps even cooler, the trailer features voices and characters played by Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund and Michael Rooker. Listen, I’m no gamer, but this shite f*ckin’ rocks it!

From a Treyarch presser:

“This is Treyarch’s tribute to the legendary George Romero, who truly defined the zombie genre and whose incredible work has been such an inspiration to our team,” Black Ops Director Dave Anthony said in a statement. “It was an absolute honor to work with such an amazing and talented cast whose passion and energy brought their characters instantly to life. Fans are going to love this.”

A damn fine tribute if I do say so myself. Cop a look below and see if you agree.

Call of the Dead comes out May 3rd.

Oh Buffy!
