So how are you guys feeling about Scott Stewart’s PRIEST? It’s not jumping out at me or anything but after scoping out the latest Web Exclusive Preview dare I say this thing looks like it’s going to be a fun time at the movies?
I mean don’t go in expecting some amazing comic adaptation, chances are you’ll be disappointed. Instead do yourself a favor and go into this one with an open mind. Maybe tap a bowl beforehand and just sit back and enjoy. If you follow these steps I’m guessing you’ll enjoy the sh*t out of PRIEST!
Back to today’s news. As metioned above there’s a brand new trailer for PRIEST floating around that’s toting itself as a Web Exclusive Preview. I have no idea why the specific title but you can go ahead and scope that shite out directly below or over in our videos section.
PRIEST is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. A legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. But when his 18-year-old niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires in the desolate wastelands outside, Priest breaks his sacred vows and ventures out to find her and seek vengeance upon those responsible, especially their brutal leader. Priest is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend, Hicks, a local outpost sheriff, and Priestess, a member of his former legion of vampire-killers who has otherworldly fighting skills.
PRIEST sports a solid cast that includes Paul Bettany, Maggie Q (below), Karl Urban, Cam Gigandet, Lily Collins, Christopher Plummer, Stephen Moyer and Brad Dourif. It’s due to hit theaters everywhere on May 13th!
