Do you guys remember that flick Summit is putting together called THE LAST WITCH HUNTER? The last we heard about the project came exactly a year ago actually. A year! So what’s the deal with this one?
Well apparently Timur Bekmambetov is no longer directing this thing thanks to his involvement with ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, so who’s in the director’s chair now? Well according to Deadline New York Summit are looking to none other than Breck Eisner for the gig! Alright… so it’s not that exciting, but we’ll roll with it anyway!
The protagonist is one of the last remaining witch hunters, a breed that keeps the population of witches and warlocks in check. They are about to repopulate in a major way unless he can stop them.
Bekmambetov is still attached to produce THE LAST WITCH HUNTER with a script from Cory Goodman. Mind you Eisner isn’t signed on yet but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time.
