Just a couple days ago the one and only Jake Dee hit us all with the news that Joe Anderson would be joining ABC’s genre series “The River” and here I am today with even more casting news!

According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog STAR TREK star Bruce Greenwood is the latest name to join the project. Greenwood (right) will be playing ‘Emmet Cole.’ He joins the previously announced Anderson and Eloise Mumford (below).

The drama centers on a group of friends and family members embarking on a search of a famed adventurer/TV personality who, with his crew, goes missing in the Amazon. Each member, however, has their own motivations for doing so.

Coming our way from producers Oren Peli, Jason Blum, Steven Schneider, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, “The River” has Jaume Collet-Sera all geared up to direct the pilot episode. No telling when this one will actually get underway but you can bet your ass we’ll let you know when it does!
