With the DVD and Blu-ray release date of the first season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” – due out March 8 from Anchor Bay – drawing near, we have a couple of cool videos for you.

The first is a clip from the making-of featurette in which special effects guru Greg Nicotero discusses a scene where he portrays an attacking zombie, and the second is a TV spot promoting the release. Watch them below.

The Frank Darabont-created show is based on the Image Comics title by Robert Kirkman, which follows the survivors of a zombie apocalypse. The first season contains six episodes and stars Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies (below), Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Steven Yeun and Chandler Riggs.
