One of the many intriguing genre series coming our way this year is ABC’s “Poe.” I know you know what I’m talking about. Earlier this month I told you how Alex Graves would be directing the pilot episode of “Poe” and now I’m here today to tell you who’s the first name joining the cast!

According to Deadline Hollywood generic TV actor Leslie Odom Jr. (right) has just joined the project as ‘Julian “Jupiter” Noble, a doctor at a free clinic who helps Poe.’ Now you’d think the first cast announced for this show would be who’s playing ‘Edgar Allan Poe’ right? Well this works too I suppose.

“Poe” is a crime procedural following Edgar Allan Poe, the world’s very first detective, as he uses unconventional methods to investigate dark mysteries in 1840s Boston.

“Poe” is geared up to start shooting March 14th in Toronto so expect a lot more updates on the ABC series soon!
