Earlier this month I hit you all with the news that WRONG TURN 3 director Declan O’Brien would be returning to those deformed-hillbilly-infested woods once again for WRONG TURN 4. Well it seems we were only half right…
Sure O’Brien is returning for the fourth installment in the slasher franchise but it seems he’ll be leaving the woods behind for a colder setting. What am I talking about? Well 20th Century Fox have decided to release the synopsis for WRONG TURN 4 and it’s sounding nothing like the previous three films. Don’t take my word for it though, scope out the plot crunch for yourselves:
In the fourth film in the popular franchise, a group of friends decide to go snowmobiling during their winter break. They make a “wrong turn”, getting lost in a storm, and seek shelter in an abandoned sanatorium. They are completely isolated by the storm and are thankful they can get out of the elements. But the sanatorium has a troubled past, and some of its former patients still reside there and are not happy about the intrusion. In a deadly game of cat and mouse, the college kids must fight to survive the night. Only their wits can save them in this scary showdown locked away by the elements reminiscent of the classic film The Shining.
So what do you think? Trading in those crazy ass hillbillies for crazy ass insane asylum patients. Can’t go wrong with that one. Filming on WRONG TURN 4 is set to begin soon in Winnipeg so be sure to check back soon for updates!
