We are sad to report the news of Tura Satana’s passing. The actress died of heart failure at a Nevada hospital on Friday. She was 72.
Born Tura Luna Pascual Yamaguchi in Japan, Satana may not be a household name – but she will forever be remembered for her lead role as Varla in Russ Meyer’s cult classic, FASTER, PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL! She also appeared in THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES and made a voice cameo in Rob Zombie’s THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EL SUPERBEASTO.

Santana is survived by two daughters and six grandchildren. Our thoughts go out to her family, friends, and fans. May she rest in peace.
