Synthetic Cinema’s ALIEN OPPONENT (formerly known as simply OPPONENT) is set to make its debut on Chiller in the late summer, with an expected DVD date around the same time. Today our friends at Fangoria got their hands on the trailer, which you can view below. Here is the synopsis:
The owner of a small-town junkyard offers a cash reward to whomever can kill her uninvited, space-suited alien guest when its spacecraft crash-lands into her barn. Every wacko within 100 miles turns out, and before long, the junkyard is transformed into a war zone of man vs. man vs. machine vs. alien vs. God only knows what.
The film re-teams BANSHEE! writer John Doolan and director Colin Theys. Says Theys: “It is without a doubt our most accomplished film yet. There’s really nothing else out there quite like this movie. The world is unique, we’ve got some really fun characters and some original sequences. It’s jam-packed with insanity. The production values are up, and the movie is loaded with effects. We were more ambitious on all fronts with ALIEN OPPONENT. There are more characters, more deaths, more creatures, more locations, more jokes, more action sequences and more effects.”
