Roger Corman has produced a number of creature features, with the most recent including SHARKTOPUS, DINOSHARK, SUPERGATER, and DINOCROC. What’s the next genetically-mutated super-animal flick for the low budget master? Why it’s PIRANHACONDA, of course!
The film is, naturally, about a half-piranha, half-anaconda creature “with razor sharp teeth and 100 feet of constricting power.” It is being directed by Jim Wynorski (CHOPPING MALL) off a script by Mike MacLean (SHARKTOPUS).
Production begins next month in Hawaii. Right now, we only know that Diana Terranova (below, 8213: GACY HOUSE) is part of the cast, but if this one is like any of the previous productions some washed up ’80s star will score the lead. We’ll let you know.
