Elizabeth Olsen had quite a weekend. Not only did her two latest efforts, the genre film SILENT HOUSE and MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE, have their premieres at Sundance, but she also revealed that she has been cast in RED LIGHTS. She joins Robert De Niro, Sigourney Weaver, and Cillian Murphy.

Of her character, Olsen stated: “Robert plays a world renowned psychic and Sigourney is a psychology professor, and I play her student. Cillian Murphy is my love interest, though that’s not a huge part of the story.”

RED LIGHTS is the lates from writer/director Rodrigo Cortes (BURIED). The film centers on a psychologist, and her assistant, whose study of paranormal activity leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic.

Olsen also describes the film as a “thriller about paranormal activity.” Interesting choice of words. The flick is currently in pre-production.
