Here at AITH we love Jennifer Love Hewitt. Say what you want about her acting skills but the woman makes a fantastic Scream Queen. She’s sure got the… lung capacity for all that screaming if you know what I mean. So when news comes around that Hewitt is set to make her directorial debut with a creepy ghost story you can bet your ass we’re going to tell you about it!

The news comes over from Variety, which states that Hewitt will be making her directorial debut with WAIT TILL HELEN COMES. HELEN? Simple enough right? It’s based on the novel by Mary Downing Hahn and was adapted by Victoria Sanchez Mandryk. So what’s this little diddy about? Check it:

WAIT TILL HELEN COMES centers on a 12-year-old girl who’s the eldest of three children in a blended family that moves from Baltimore into a house converted from a church in the Maryland countryside. The tormented ghost of a little girl comes to haunt the 12-year-old but forms an intimate though dangerous friendship with her seven-year-old stepsister.

Somewhat intriguing right? There’s definitely potential here for all kinds of creepy fun! Plans are to start shooting this Summer through Hewitt’s Fedora Films and Just Believe Productions. Along with Hewitt the flick will also be produced by A.J. Rinella. Victoria Sanchez Mandryk is co-producing with Manuel Freedman serving as executive producer.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this one in the coming months so be sure to keep it here for more on WAIT TILL HELEN COMES as we hear it!
