Is it just me or are these ALIEN prequels becoming just as bad as GHOSTBUSTERS 3 with all this talk and no action? It seems like we’ve been talking about these prequels, and more specifically the female lead for the films, since I can remember. Countless names have been thrown out there for the two films and here we are today with more news on who might be taking the lead.
According to New York Magazine’s Vulture, two names are at the top of the list in regards to these ALIEN prequels. Only problem is the two names sit at the top of two different lists. You see Fox wants to go with the gorgeous and talented Charlize Theron while director/writer/producer Ridley Scott would like to go with the less popular choice of Noomi Rapace (right). Interesting.
Now Scott also wants Michael Fassbender and Michelle Yeoh cast in the flick, though the studio is nervous about pinning such a large production on such an unknown cast. Actually word has it they’re having the script re-written so that the lead has a much larger role in the film, so someone like Theron or someone along that stature would fit right in.
Now mind you none of this is even close to a done deal and I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more crazy talk about these ALIEN prequels before things even get rolling. While we wait for more updates though be sure to hit us with your thoughts on all of this below!
