One flick that’s been bouncing around under the radar is the Korean monster feature SECTOR 7. If this doesn’t sound familiar, don’t worry.. It’s the first time we’re hearing about it here at AITH as well. So are you ready to hear about this little diddy? Of course you are!
The 3D monster movie is coming our way from CJ Entertainment and JK Films with Youn Je-kyun producing and Kim Ji-hoon directing. The film stars Ha Ji-won (below), Ahn Seong-gi, Lee Han-wee, Park Cheol-min, Oh Ji-ho, Song Sae-byeok and Cha Ye-ryeon. I know I know… you want the goods right? Check it:
The film is about a group of workers on the ‘Eclipse’, an oil prospecting platform, being terrorized by a hostile undersea creature.
Pretty intriguing right? Well along with the details on SECTOR 7 we’ve also got some early logo work for the film above and the flick’s first one-sheet below. While the logo work is as simple as you can get I’m really digging the one-sheet. Subtle yet to the point. Definitely digging it! What says you guys?
Now SECTOR 7 currently sits in post-production with distributors all lined up in Korea, France, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. Unfortunately no word on a US release but hopefully we see this one before the year ends. The sooner the better of course. As always we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for more on SECTOR 7 and we’ll be sure to pass along the news to all of you once we hear it!
