We know TERMINATOR: SALVATION was the first of a planned trilogy. That’s old news. So is the fact that THE TERMINATOR rights have been on one hell of a roller coaster ride after SALVATION’s release. Now that TERMINATOR has a home at Pacifor it’s still unknown what the plans are for the franchise’s future. I’m here to tell you there’s one person who wouldn’t mind returning to the franchise.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly “Walking Dead” producer, and co-scribe, co-producer of THE TERMINATOR, Gale Anne Hurd let loose the tidbit that she would love to return to the franchise if given the opportunity. Hurd also offers her dismay at the recent situation the TERMINATOR rights have found themselves in. Don’t take my word for it though, scope out what the producer had to say:
“It’s very sad. You feel like you gave birth to something and it’s been adopted and those adoptions haven’t worked out. Of course I’d be interested in doing another one. I’d love it.”
Well Gale I’m sure I speak for most of us when I say we’d welcome you back with open arms after that thing McG left us. To be fair I was entertained by TERMINATOR: SALVATION but I’d definitely rather give Hurd a shot at it. What says you guys? Would you like to see Hurd return to the franchise? Do you even want to see another TERMINATOR flick? Spit some bullets below and let us know what you think as we await more TERMINATOR news.
