People have their opinions of home invasion flicks. Personally I love home invasion flicks if only for the terrifying realism behind them. Shite like THE STRANGERS and FUNNY GAMES… That stuff is genius in their own twisted way. So when there’s word of another twisted home invasion flick heading our way you can bet your ass I’m going to tell you about it!
I’m talking about a flick called THE REPLICAS, which is coming at us from director Jeremy Regimbal. Josh Close penned the screenplay for THE REPLICAS, which just began production. So what’s the good word on this little diddy? Well according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Risky Business blog the flick just scored itself a cast that includes Josh Close, James D’Arcy, Selma Blair and Rachel Miner. Now Blair (above) is obviously the only big name here but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. So what’s THE REPLICAS about? Check it:
THE REPLICAS follows a couple that heads with their family to a vacation cottage to grieve after the death of their youngest child. Not long after, they are visited by the Sakowskis, a couple with an unhelpful agenda.
Interesting. My guess is Miner plays the twisted hottie while Blair plays the terrorized hottie. What do you guys think? Hit us with your thoughts on THE REPLICAS below and keep it here for more on the project, which is filming now, as we hear it!
