The blond badboy of the Harry Potter world, Tom “Draco Malfoy” Felton, is still messing with the forces of darkness in his new film THE APPARITION. The flick, which follows a young couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment, is set to come out until September 2011, but Felton had occasion to chat it up a little in a recent interview with the L.A. Times.
“It’s a sci-fi thriller with a dash of horror, and we shot it in Berlin. It’s based around the paranormal. Ashley Greene from the ‘Twilight’ films is the lead, and Sebastian Stan is in it. I thoroughly enjoyed working with them. My character is the instigator of all the madness, all the experiments, and he’s in search of proof, and, of course, that leads to the downfall of the group. It’s kind of in the tradition of ‘Flatliners,’ but there’s more of a horror element there, and it’s very technological.”
Next year also sees Felton tangle with mad-as-hell apes in Fox’s RISE OF THE APES, in which he plays the son to villain Brian Cox. With that and POTTER, dude’s having daddy issues heaved on him.
THE APPARITION comes out on SEPTEMBER 9th. Check out a couple of stills from the flick right HERE.
