Well here’s an update I wasn’t expecting anytime soon… You guys remember that 3D TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE we told you about last year? Well apparently this thing is still very much in the works and just found itself a couple new writers!
According to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures have tapped Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus to pen a new screenplay for the film. Now it’s unknown if they’ll be working on a brand new script or if they’ll be tweaking Stephen Susco’s previous screenplay. Does it really matter though? Either way it looks like we’ll be seeing Leatherface’s chainsaw coming at us in 3D!
Now the official plot for this one is still unknown but word has it the film will take place 35 years after the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and will involve some kind of cult. Ok then… To be honest I really have no idea what to expect with this one… Carl Mazzocone and SAW producer Mark Burg will be producing so we can probably expect THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D to be more along the lines of a SAW flick rather than the recent TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE films… Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing but it’s not really jiving well with me.
