Remember that upcoming slasher flick we’ve been telling you about starring Dane Cook? Yes that’s probably a huge strike against the thing right there but let’s not give up on this one just yet… The flick is called DETENTION and the last update we got came in the form of some casting news. Well that was back in August so I think it’s time for a nice little DETENTION update!
You see an interesting ‘tweet’ popped up over at director Joseph Kahn’s Twitter account recently that included the film’s first still! Actually it’s not a still persay but rather a character image. Still all good in my book! Scope out the ‘tweet:’

And behold Cinderhella in all her vicious glory below! Not too shabby huh? I’m digging it! What says you guys? You liking the first inklings of DETENTION or are you going to need more before deciding if you’re ready to forgive the Dane Cook casting? Mind you Dane Cook is Ok in my book although he’s not the best actor out there…
DETENTION is about a group of teens who must survive their final year of high school, but standing in their way is a slasher-movie killer who has seemingly come to life.
Along with Cook the flick is also set to star Carrie Wiita, Parker Bagley, Alison Woods, Walter Perez, Evan Williams, Josh Hutcherson, Shanley Caswell and Spencer Locke. While I’m sure the lot of you out there probably hate on Dane Cook personally I can’t stand this Hutcherson kid and it pains me to see him crossing over from kid flicks into our genre. Hopefully he doesn’t decide to stick around!
Now DETENTION should be just about wrapped by now so you can bet we’ll be on the lookout for more goods from the flick in the coming weeks. As always as soon as we hear anything else on the film we’ll be sure to pass the good word along to all of you!
