It’s true ladies and gentlemen, according to Variety Tod Williams’ PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 has already broke some records!
It seems the supernatural thriller now finds itself atop the list for biggest R-rated midnight gross ever! The film scored a whopping $6.3 million on 1,800 screens this past Thursday night/Friday morning and found itself toppling WATCHMEN from the top spot, which scored a respectful $4.6 million back in 2009. So does this mean PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 is actually pretty good? No, no it doesn’t. Actually the only thing it means is that Paramount’s heavy ‘midnight release’ advertising paid off. We’ll wait a little while longer before we make any solid decisions on whether this one is a valid success.
But that’s not all folks! To celebrate the film’s record breaking opening we’ve got five, count em five!, new videos for you all to check out over in our videos section.
